Adam Lallana has been linked with a shock January move to Rangers and former Ibrox captain Barry Ferguson is ‘beginning to believe’ the Liverpool midfielder’s signing could be possible.Lallana, 30, has endured another season beset by injuries and fitness problems that have limited him to just eight appearances in all competitions, and there is a suggestion he could depart Anfield before the end of the month.It was reported earlier this week that Rangers have been installed as favourites to sign the England international, who played for Southampton before joining the Reds in 2014.1

Defoe and Davis join at the perfect time with only goal difference separating Celtic in first and Rangers behind them, and bringing Lallana in would further improve Gers chances of winning the Premiership this season.And Ferguson, the former Rangers captain, is starting to feel a deal for Lallana could well be on the cards.Speaking to PLZ Soccer, Ferguson said: “See if this was six, eight weeks ago? I know Defoe was mentioned and obviously Davis, these two signings have happened, and now Im beginning to believe Adam Lallana.“I think hes a top, top player. If Rangers get him, theyve got an even better chance to snatch the title away from Celtic.“But he is a top, top player. If Rangers pull that off, Ill need to give them a handshake.”Rangers return from their winter break this evening, with a trip to Cowdenbeath in the Scottish Cup. Both Defoe and Davis are expected to make their debuts for Gers at the League Two side’s Central Park home.
