Leicester City have lined up Brendan Rodgers as their new manager should Claude Puel be sacked, according to reports.Puel, the Frenchman, is under serious pressure at the King Power Stadium with fans calling for his head.Leicester currently sit eighth in the Premier League, but their festive defeats of Chelsea and Manchester City papered over cracks which started to show in the opening days of the new year.2

The Foxes first lost to League Two Newport County to be knocked out the FA Cup, before suffering a defeat at Southampton’s hands over the weekend.Leicester chiefs are now considering giving in to fan pressure and dismissing Puel, with the former Monaco player set to be axed should the Foxes lose to Midlands rivals Wolves on Saturday.And, according to The Sun, Leicester have identified Celtic boss Rodgers as their ‘prime target’ to replace Puel. Rodgers is currently midway through his third season at Parkhead and is hoping to win his third successive domestic treble.The Northern Irishman joined Celtic a year after being sacked by Liverpool, with Rodgers also having Premier League experience with Swansea.2
