Furious Manchester United fans have lashed out at the board members after allowing Ander Herrera to leave on a free.In particular, plenty of disgruntled Red Devils supporters hit out at the decision to award the likes of Chris Smalling, Ashley Young and Phil Jones new deals ahead of the Spaniard.

A goodbye message from @AnderHerrera. #MUFC pic.twitter.com/z56bmBwXa9— Manchester United (@ManUtd) May 11, 2019“I owe the fans a lot. When you leave such a big club you lose much more than what they are losing. I cannot lie – I wasn’t born a Manchester United fan, but I want everyone to know that a part of my heart will always be a red devil.“When you play almost 200 matches for this club there is no other way to look back (other than positive).“I have some memories in my mind that I cannot forget. Of course the trophies we have won together like the European trophy we won in Stockholm [in 2017] – that was special.“The FA Cup win against [Crystal] Palace [in 2016], the League Cup as well [in 2017] because it’s an important trophy, and the Community Shield against Leicester [in 2016]. But overall I will never forget the way I have been treated by the fans.”
How Manchester United could line up next season after 330m revamp

Honestly cant get over the fact that Chris Smalling and Phil Jones have outlasted Ander Herrera at Manchester United. And he signed years after them..— Aidan Walsh (@AidanWalshMUFC) May 11, 2019
Ander Herrera, one of our most important players is leaving Man Utd on a free transfer in the same season we gave 33 year old Ashley Young a new contract at 110,000 a week, Phil Jones at 120,000 a week and Chris Smalling at 120,000 a week. This club is being run by clowns. pic.twitter.com/bUULcesV0t— Red Devil Bible (@RedDevilBible) May 11, 2019
In the last 5 months Manchester United gave Ashley Young, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling new contracts, who are the main reason for the club's mediocrity, while getting rid of Herrera on a free transfer. This just highlights how badly the club need a sporting director. Abysmal.— 360Sources (@360Sources) May 11, 2019
Ander Herrera left Manchester United before Ashley Young, Smalling, Jones, Rojo, Darmian, Mata, Lingard, Matic and Alexis Sanchez. Letting the only leader at their club leave, but persist to extend the contracts of their shocking players. Unbelievable.— FutbolBible (@FutbolBible) May 11, 2019
herrera is leaving meanwhile we just gave jones, smalling and young contract extensions??pic.twitter.com/fi6B19vjVp— (@fleurenamour) May 11, 2019
